Bank Holiday

Soooo today is a bank holiday.  Here’s me thinking yesterday morning that l’ll be taking the small ones to play group. Nope All 4 and husband at home and we are planning to go out.  The question is  where?

Living in London you have sooo many options and when you search the net  for ” things to do with kids in London” they tend to present you with this list- often including the huge tourist traps. While these places are really nice and my children love the Dinosaurs of the Natural History museum for example, TBH those places can be really stressful. Getting there for example, for under 7s on the train, and getting to stations with no lifts and with a double buggy? No thanks. Some parents are able to do it or don’t have a choice but we both fins this very stressful. Besides with an adult Oyster card trail for the day cost nearly £10 and so for both of us its £20, sometimes its cheaper to just pay for parking. But where do you park in London?  There are places, you just gotta hunt for them. I think I’ll do a list of practical places to go with lots of small kids.

Back to today. For once the great British weather is hot on a Bank Holiday. I know shock and almost horror, can this be true?  The problem is: my husband burns very easily and hates being hot… also water and sand…. so the beach is a no go.  So where do we go?  Also can’t cost loads of money and need to be able to drive or walk there.

I love to see new things, but coming ups with different ideas can be draining… wish me luck
